Speyside Vets in Aberlouer & Fochabers are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team on a permanent basis. Working in various capacities within your role and depending on which shift you are covering you will be involved in all aspects of nursing for example. 

The early nurse will assist with surgeries between 9:00am and 10:00am, then be second to the late nurse and help the vet with diagnostics e.g. bloods, radiographs, ultrasound scans, discharge in-patients and do the afternoon nurse consultations. 
Late nurse will take over as the surgical nurse when they arrive at 10:15:am, surgeries range from routine neutering, dentistry to orthopaedics, they help the vet with diagnostics and cover the nurse appointments during evening surgery as necessary. Both nurses have the usual responsibilities of ordering drugs, consumables and equipment as necessary and the shifts are swapped weekly to ensure each nurse attains adequate opportunities.

Whether you need to do the school pick up, need reduced hours during school holidays or would simply like a more flexible rota pattern we can fix or flex our patterns to suit your needs.

We can be flexible regarding days of work, with either a Wednesday to Friday (22.5 hours) shift pattern or full-time Monday to Friday (37.5 hours) with 1 in 4 Saturdays (9am till 12pm.) Our nurses’ alternate shifts weekly,7:45am – 3:45pm or 10:15am – 6:15pm, the candidate will be required to work at both branches Fochabers and Aberlour.
