The Role

Wilton House Veterinary Clinic is delighted to invite applications from a compassionate, organised and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly, dedicated team.

As an RVN at Wilton House, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional standards of patient care while supporting clients with clear, empathetic communication, particularly during sensitive and emotional situations. The role is varied and rewarding, encompassing high-quality inpatient care for medical and surgical cases, the management and monitoring of anaesthesia, and the delivery of engaging and informative nurse consultations. You will also be involved in essential laboratory procedures and work closely with the wider clinical team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the practice on a day-to-day basis.

About you

We are seeking an RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse with a proven track record of excellent patient care and a positive, proactive approach to teamwork. The ideal candidate will share our core values of compassion, professionalism and collaboration, and will be passionate about ongoing learning and development within a progressive veterinary environment. Strong organisational skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with both colleagues and clients are essential.

About us

The area offers an outstanding quality of life, with beautiful countryside, nearby beaches and easy access to vibrant cities such as Newcastle and Durham. Our clinic is well equipped with a modern operating theatre, digital X-ray, ultrasound and a fully equipped in-house laboratory. You will be joining a passionate and supportive team of Veterinary Nurses and Animal Care Assistants who work collaboratively to deliver the highest standards of care. We also benefit from close collaboration with neighbouring practices and the guidance of Gillian Wormald, Clinical Director at Stokesley Vets, reinforcing our commitment to continuous improvement and clinical excellence.

Rota

This full-time role is based on a 40-hour working week, with the option of a four- or five-day week from Monday to Friday. Saturday mornings are worked on a one-in-four rota from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, and there is no out-of-hours requirement. In return, we offer a welcoming and supportive working environment, genuine opportunities for professional development and the chance to build a rewarding career in a beautiful location.

If you are a dedicated and empathetic RVN looking to join a caring, forward-thinking practice with a team ready to welcome their new colleague, we would love to hear from you.
