MBM Veterinary Group is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our small animal team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

This is a multi-site role, working across our three Small Animal practices located in Kilmarnock, Beith, and Mauchline.

Our Team & Culture


You will be joining a dedicated and experienced Small Animal team, currently comprising:
  • 20 Veterinary Surgeons, including certificate holders in Cardiology and Surgery, and others pursuing further qualifications in Surgery and Internal Medicine.
  • 16 Registered Veterinary Nurses, supported by 4 Animal Nursing Assistants and 14 Reception staff.

  • We are committed to delivering high standards of patient care and clinical excellence, offering a wide range of medical and surgical services in-house, with strong links to referral centres for complex cases.

    We take a flexible approach to working hours and are committed to supporting a positive work–life balance. The role offers up to 40 hours per week, which can be worked over four or five days to suit your preferences. Participation in a 1-in-4 Saturday morning rota (8:30am–1:00pm) is required, with no out-of-hours or on-call duties.
