Full-time, Permanent
Salary up to €35,000 DOE

A Role Where You Can Settle In and Grow

Gorey Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and well-established team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work in a supportive environment where your skills are genuinely valued and you’re encouraged to keep developing.

Whether you’re newly qualified or bring more experience, you’ll be joining a team that takes pride in delivering high standards of care while also creating a positive and enjoyable place to work day to day.

A Hands-On Role With Variety

This is a full-time position working 40 hours across five days, with shifts between 8:30am–5:30pm and 9:30am–6:30pm, plus a 1 in 4 Saturday rota. There are no out-of-hours requirements, giving you a consistent and manageable working pattern.

You’ll be working closely with a team of experienced nurses and vets, rotating through surgical and ward duties. This gives you the opportunity to build a broad and well-rounded skillset, from anaesthesia and theatre work to inpatient care and general nursing responsibilities.

It’s a role where you can really get involved, use your nursing skills fully and continue building confidence in a well-supported setting.

A Practice That Invests in Its Team

Gorey Veterinary Hospital is a long-standing practice that has seen significant recent investment, both in facilities and in the team. The clinic is well-equipped with modern diagnostic and monitoring equipment, allowing you to work cases to a high standard.

You’ll be part of a close-knit clinical team, supported by a dedicated reception team who help keep the day running smoothly. The culture is genuinely collaborative, with a strong focus on teamwork, respect and creating an environment where people feel comfortable and supported.

Open to All Experience Levels

We’re open to speaking with both newly qualified nurses and those with more experience. If you’re early in your career, you’ll benefit from guidance, mentoring and structured support. If you’re more experienced, you’ll have the opportunity to further develop your interests and take on more responsibility within the team.

You’ll need to be a Registered Veterinary Nurse, or due to join the VCI register, with a positive attitude, good communication skills and a genuine interest in patient care.

A Package That Supports You

Alongside a competitive salary, you’ll benefit from a package designed to support your wellbeing and development. This includes:
