About the Practice

Shenick Veterinary Hospital is a modern, purpose-built facility designed to support high standards of clinical care. The practice is fully equipped with digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, as well as laser therapy and hydrotherapy facilities.

The hospital itself is spacious and thoughtfully laid out, with separate wards for cats and dogs, a large prep and procedure area, two operating theatres, an isolation ward, and multiple consultation rooms. Staff facilities are equally well considered, with comfortable break areas and ample workspace, creating an environment that is both professional and enjoyable to work in.

Established in 2014, the Skerries practice serves the wider communities of Skerries, Rush, and Lusk. You’ll be joining a close-knit and collaborative team of vets, nurses, and support staff who are genuinely committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

A Strong Clinical Network

As part of a wider group that includes sister clinics in Balbriggan and Stamullen, the practice offers access to a wider clinical network of experienced veterinary professionals, including certificate holders. This means opportunities for internal referrals, collaboration on cases, and ongoing clinical mentorship are always available, helping you continue to grow and develop throughout your career.

About You

We are looking for a veterinary nurse who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a supportive team environment. You will either be registered with the Veterinary Council of Ireland or due to qualify in 2026 and eligible to register.

A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for patient care are essential. You should be comfortable taking initiative, open to learning, and eager to contribute to a team that values collaboration and clinical excellence.
