We are seeking an enthusiastic, confident Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Downland Vets on a part-time basis.

This role is based at our Chichester clinic, part of a group of nine practices that offer strong collaboration and support. We are conveniently located near the gorgeous city centre, and our site is well-equipped, featuring theatre facilities, kennels, an in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, ultrasound, three consulting rooms, and dental x-ray. Our veterinary team rotates across the clinics, with typically one to two vets on site each day, supported by four RVNs and a dedicated reception team

 

How You’ll Make a Difference 

 
 
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. 
 
You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. 

This role entails 30 hours per week, working between 8 am and 7 pm, ideally 3 x 10-hour shifts, or 4 shorter shifts can be accommodated if preferred. There is a requirement to be part of the 1:4 Saturday morning rota, with shifts between 8 am and 11 am, with time off during the week if worked.

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS 
  • Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing 
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues 
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively 
  • A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
