Clontarf Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and experienced small animal team. This is a fantastic opportunity whether you’re just starting your career or looking to take the next step in a more progressive clinical environment.
For graduate nurses, this is a brilliant first role where you’ll be supported by a knowledgeable and approachable team, helping you build confidence and strong clinical foundations. For more experienced nurses, it’s an opportunity to further develop your skills, work alongside certificate holders and even pursue your own area of interest with full support for further qualifications.
You’ll be a key part of the day-to-day running of the clinic, with a varied role that allows you to fully utilise your nursing skills. From surgical and anaesthetic nursing to inpatient care and nurse consults, you’ll have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of patient care.
You’ll also play an important role in client communication and education, helping to build strong, trusting relationships while delivering a high standard of care. The team works closely together, creating a collaborative and supportive environment where everyone contributes and learns from each other.
This role can be tailored to suit the right candidate, with both full-time and part-time options available. A full-time position typically involves a 40-hour week across four or five days, with a 1 in 3 weekend rota.
There are no out-of-hours or overnight shifts, and working hours are scheduled between 8:00am and 8:00pm, offering flexibility and a good work-life balance.
Clontarf Veterinary Hospital combines high clinical standards with a genuinely supportive and welcoming culture. You’ll be part of a team that values collaboration, development and creating a positive place to work. As part of the wider Anicare Veterinary Group, you’ll also benefit from access to a larger network of experienced colleagues, mentoring opportunities and clear pathways for career progression.
This position is open to both newly qualified and experienced Veterinary Nurses. You must be a Registered Veterinary Nurse, or due to join the VCI register in 2026.
You’ll be someone who enjoys being part of a team, takes pride in your work and has a genuine interest in delivering excellent patient care. A positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to take initiative are just as important as experience.
Alongside a competitive salary, you’ll benefit from a comprehensive package designed to support your wellbeing and development. This includes:
22 days annual leave entitlement
Birthday leave
Paid Maternity, Paternity and Adoptive leave packages
Cycle to work scheme
EAP and wellbeing centre access
