Hallam Veterinary Centre are a well-established first opinion small animal practice in North-West Sheffield on the edge of The Peak District National Park.
 
We value our time off and The Outdoor City gives plenty of opportunity to pursue the huge range of activities that are available on the doorstep. We see a varied caseload and have enough experience in house to deal with most cases; orthopaedics, imaging, and cardiology are confidently catered for. We offer a certificate-holder level cardiology referral service to local practices.
 

Practice Highlights

 
We are a strong and supportive team of 13 vets, and an experienced Nursing team, as well as a fantastic support and administrative team. Within our team, we have 1 CertVC, 1 MANCVS, 2 Cert AVP and 1 PGC(SADI).
 
Practice facilities and equipment include digital radiography, dental radiography, well-specced ultrasound, as well as all the usual laboratory and surgical equipment. We have 4 air-conditioned consulting rooms and 3 air-conditioned theatres.

How You’ll Make a Difference

 
As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.
 
You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.
 
You will be working full time 40 hours over 4 days with one weekend in 6. This is negotiable however if your lifestyle requires a different rota pattern.

You are a confident and motivated veterinary surgeon who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to delivering high-quality patient and client care. You’ll bring:
 
  • A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
  • Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
  • A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development
  • Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • A passion for delivering excellent patient and client care
