
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join the friendly and progressive team at Links Veterinary Group in beautiful East Lothian. We're looking for an experienced small animal vet who enjoys working cases through from start to finish and wants to be part of a collaborative team committed to delivering exceptional patient care. With our own dedicated out-of-hours service and excellent clinical facilities, you'll have the opportunity to follow your patients' journey while enjoying a varied caseload and strong team support.

We understand that work-life balance is essential to helping you thrive both inside and outside of work. This full-time position is based around 42.5 hours per week, including a one-hour lunch break, with 8.5-hour shifts Monday to Friday. Start times vary between 7:30am and 12:00pm, offering variety throughout the week.
You'll also take part in a 1 in 10 out-of-hours weekend rota, working 7:45am–8:15pm as sole charge, with generous time off in lieu provided. Thanks to our dedicated night team of vets and nurses, continuity of care is maintained, allowing you to see cases through while enjoying excellent clinical support.

You'll become part of a supportive and close-knit team that enjoys working together and delivering the very best outcomes for patients and clients alike. We're looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who is confident managing their own caseload while appreciating the value of teamwork and collaboration. An interest in emergency and critical care would be highly advantageous, given our established out-of-hours service.
