Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal
Kingston Vets - Yeovil, Somerset
Salary up to £65,000 FTE DOE plus relocation allowance up to £3,000 and welcome bonus up to £5,000
At inspiring vet care, our people are at the heart of everything we do. As the UK’s number one vet care provider, we're trusted with the care of over 2 million animals, delivering our purpose of healthier animals and happier owners.
For over 100 years, Kingston Vets has been at the heart of the local community, building a reputation for exceptional patient care and trusted client relationships. As our practice continues to grow, we're looking for a part-time Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, experienced and forward-thinking team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a vet who enjoys variety, continuity of care and working cases up to a high clinical standard. Our diverse small animal caseload includes cats, dogs, rabbits and small furries, with an excellent balance of consultations and surgery. Alongside routine procedures, you'll have exposure to orthopaedics, dentistry, splenectomies and a broad range of more advanced medical and surgical cases, giving you the chance to develop your skills while taking true ownership of your patients from diagnosis through to recovery.
Working across our two purpose-built practices in Sherborne and Yeovil, you'll have access to a comprehensive range of modern facilities designed to support high-quality veterinary care. Equipment includes digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, laparoscopic equipment, and separate cat and dog wards with dedicated isolation facilities. We're also proud to hold Silver ISFM accreditation, reflecting our commitment to providing outstanding feline-friendly care.
You'll become part of a collaborative and supportive team of six Veterinary Surgeons, six Registered Veterinary Nurses, two Student Veterinary Nurses and a dedicated Client Care Team. We also work closely with a visiting orthopaedic specialist, providing additional support for complex cases and creating excellent opportunities for learning and professional development.
