Up to £65,000 DOE

Apply
Pilgrims Vets are excited to welcome a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, supportive team. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of a true mixed animal practice in the heart of the New Forest.

Find a place to excel

Our main branch is in Fordingbridge, which is stocked with the usual toys including Digital X-ray, dental radiography, Ultrasound & Idexx blood analyser. We have just invested in new VETSCAN IMAGYST laboratory equipment, Digital endoscope and new equine dental equipment.

Our branch practice in Cranborne is stocked with surgical facilities.

While our preference is for a Mixed Animal Veterinary Surgeon, we are also happy to consider applications from Small Animal Vets who feel they would be a great fit. Working across our two branches, you will enjoy the variety and scope of cases that mixed practice brings, with the full support of an experienced and collaborative team.

Rota patterns that work for you

This role consists of 30-40 hours per week over 4 days with a 1 in 4 out of hours rota (1 weeknight a week and 1 in 4 weekends which includes Saturday morning small animal consults 10:00-13:00). Full or Part-Time considered however essential to join our 1 in 4 Out of Hours Rota.

Small Animal OOH apart from inpatients is managed by local OOH provider.

We offer a flexible approach to working hours as we know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and we want to make it easy for you to strike the right balance. Many of our staff members already take advantage of our flexi working approach, and although ideally, we would prefer a full time Veterinary Surgeon to fill the role; for the right candidate we would consider part time hours.

Join our supportive team

Across both practices we have a strong team of 7 Vets, supported by 4 registered veterinary nurses and 2 training veterinary nurse.

We are a close-knit team that enjoy social outings, as well as the time we spend together in practice, and have a very friendly client base!

Pilgrims is based in the beautiful New Forest with countless scenic walks and countryside to explore, as well as being 30 minutes from stunning beaches along the south coast.
