Find Your Future in Veterinary Export Certification

Avondale Veterinary Group are expanding our dedicated Export OV team and we’re looking for a proactive Official Veterinarian to join us in delivering high-quality certification services across central Scotland. This is a 100% export-focused role, offering a unique opportunity to specialise in an important and growing area of veterinary work — with full training and development provided.

You’ll be responsible for export health certification across a broad range of products of animal origin — from live shellfish and fishery products to dairy, meat, composite goods, and equines not intended for slaughter. Working closely with logistics and customs partners, you’ll ensure smooth and compliant export processes while supporting accurate and timely documentation.
OCQ(V)-PX is preferred, but funding is available if needed, along with full onboarding support.

Hours & Rota

  • 40 hours per week across 5 days
  • Typically 12:00–20:00 shifts (some variation based on workload)
  • Weekend work on a 2 in 3 rota, with days off scheduled within the same week
  • No out-of-hours or on-call

  • About You

You’ll be confident in decision-making, highly organised and detail-focused, with strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively on-site. Previous certification experience is beneficial but not essential — passion for compliance, accuracy and animal product safety is what matters most.
    MRCVS qualification is required.
