Salary Up To £55,000 FTE DOE
For over 100 years, Kingston Vets has been at the heart of the local community, building a reputation as a trusted and progressive small animal practice. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a friendly, can-do Veterinary Surgeon to join our team and play an important role in our next chapter.
A Caseload That Keeps You Engaged
Our varied caseload includes cats, dogs, rabbits and small furries, with a strong focus on case continuity and working cases up to a high clinical standard. You’ll enjoy a balanced mix of consultations and surgery, with routine procedures complemented by a healthy number of orthopaedics, dental work, splenectomies and a wide range of interesting medical and surgical cases. If you enjoy seeing cases through and taking real pride in your clinical work, you’ll feel right at home here.
Two Modern Sites, Excellent Facilities
Operating across two purpose-built small animal practices in Yeovil and Sherborne, Kingston Vets offers access to fantastic facilities at both sites. From dental suites with dental X-ray and digital radiography to ultrasound, laparoscopic equipment and separate cat and dog wards with isolation facilities, you’ll have the tools you need to deliver high-quality care. We’re also proud to hold Silver ISFM status, reflecting our commitment to providing exceptional feline-friendly care.
A Rota That Supports Balance
This role is for 24 hours worked over two and a half days on Monday, Tuesday and Friday, alongside Saturday mornings from 8:30am to 12:30pm. There are no out-of-hours or on-call requirements, giving you the freedom to enjoy your time outside of work.
A Team That Has Your Back
You’ll be joining a welcoming and experienced team of six vets, six RVNs, two SVNs and a dedicated client care team. We also work closely with a visiting orthopaedic specialist, offering additional support for more complex cases. Continued learning is actively encouraged, and we are very happy to support certificates or further training aligned with your interests and career goals.
A Location That Offers the Best of Both Worlds
Yeovil and Sherborne provide a wonderful blend of rural charm and everyday convenience. Surrounded by rolling countryside, historic market towns and beautiful walking routes, the area is perfect for those who enjoy the outdoors and a slower pace of life. Sherborne’s stunning architecture and independent shops complement Yeovil’s amenities and excellent transport links, creating a fantastic setting for both career and lifestyle.
