Tower Vet Centre is looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. You'll enjoy a balanced mix of consulting and surgery, with access to excellent diagnostic equipment and a diverse first-opinion caseload ranging from routine preventative healthcare through to more complex medical and surgical cases.
Large and experienced clinical team including 5 full-time vets and 3 part-time vets
Strong support network from experienced RVNs, Animal Care Assistants, and Reception Team
Varied first-opinion caseload with a good balance of consultations and surgery
Modern diagnostic equipment including digital radiography with AI support, ultrasound, and dental radiography

Dedicated Vet GDP Advisor available to support new and recent graduates

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you'll work as part of a collaborative and highly skilled team, delivering exceptional patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.
You'll have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills, work up cases to a high standard, and contribute to a positive clinical culture where learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement are valued.
Deliver high-quality medical and surgical care across a varied small animal caseload
Manage a balanced mix of consultations, diagnostics, medical workups, and surgical procedures
Build strong relationships with clients through excellent communication and continuity of care
Work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons, nurses, and support colleagues
Contribute to clinical discussions, case reviews, and shared learning across the team
Support high standards of patient care and clinical excellence throughout the practice
Fixed-term maternity cover contract
40 hours per week
Flexible rota worked across 4.5 days
Shifts scheduled between 8:30am and 7:30pm Monday to Friday
1 in 4 Saturday mornings (9am–1pm)

You are a compassionate and motivated veterinary surgeon who enjoys working as part of a supportive team and is committed to delivering outstanding patient and client care. You'll bring:
A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
Confidence in consultations and routine surgical procedures appropriate to your level of experience
Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
A collaborative approach to teamwork and case management
Enthusiasm for learning and developing your clinical skills
A passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care
