About Us
Established in 1966, Hunt’s Veterinary Clinics has grown into a well-respected RCVS-accredited small animal practice with branches in Poynton (main site), Woodley and Cheadle Hulme. Since moving away from mixed practice in 1997, we’ve focused solely on providing exceptional care for companion animals.
Each of our branches is fully equipped to a high standard, ensuring consistency in care across all locations. We’re proud of our welcoming, supportive and genuinely fun working environment, where collaboration and camaraderie are part of daily life.
Our current team includes 7 vets, 5 RVNs, a VCA, 2 receptionists, a Practice Manager, and 3 support staff. Together, we create a positive workplace where everyone’s input is valued and career development is encouraged.

This is a fully flexible role with a rota of between 30 and 40 hours per week with including a share of the Saturday rota (8am-4pm). There are no out-of-hours or bank holiday duties required, helping you maintain a healthy work-life balance. What our team have to say
Megan - Veterinary Surgeon
" I have been at Hunts for the last 4 years and the whole team is lovely and supportive (professionally and personally), making it an enjoyable and collaborative environment to work in. The diary is managed well to support admin/lunches/leaving on time so the work feels sustainable and our client base enables us to work-up most cases to a good level - with referral support when required"
Emma - Veterinary Surgeon
"I have been at Hunt's since graduating 3 years ago and can honestly not think of a better place to have begun my career. I have been well supported throughout my time here, and I come to work and genuinely enjoy spending time with the team. The diaries are well managed with enough time built in for admin and there is variety between shifts with a mixture of days at the different branches. I came down to Stockport from Scotland without knowing anyone in the area and really feel that I have found my place with a group of people that make my working days more enjoyable"
