South Lincs Vet Group, part of inspiring vet care, are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Heckington Veterinary Clinic in rural Lincolnshire, right in the heart of the local community. South Lincs Vet Group also has three additional branch practices, with our main hospital, out-of-hours service and referral centre based in Sutterton, approximately 18 miles away.

How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.
You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.
Working Pattern
40 hours per week over 4 days
Typical day consists of 15-minute consultations from 9:00am-11:00am, followed by surgery, lunch and consultations from 3:00pm-6:00pm
1 in 4 Saturdays, working 9:00am-4:00pm, or participation in the 1 in 10 emergency weekend rota with time off in lieu
General Responsibilities
Providing high-quality first opinion medical and surgical care
Sole charge responsibilities, supported by the wider South Lincs team
Helping to develop and grow the Heckington practice
Building strong relationships with clients and the local community

We’re looking for a confident and motivated Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to delivering high-quality patient and client care. You’ll bring:
A Veterinary degree and registration, or eligibility to register, with the RCVS
Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
