If you’re a Veterinary Surgeon looking to boost your earnings without committing to a full OOH rota, this could be the ideal fit. We’re launching a brand-new out-of-hours and emergency service at All Pets Veterinary Hospital, and we’re looking for an experienced vet to join the twilight team from the outset.
It’s the opportunity to be part of something new, while working within a well-established hospital known for its clinical standards, collaborative culture, and long-standing team.
This twilight position has been designed to offer genuine flexibility. You’ll work Sunday afternoons and bank holidays from 2:30pm to 7:30pm, before handing over to a dedicated and experienced night team.
It’s an excellent option if you’re looking to supplement your current role, reduce full-time hours, or simply take on something additional without impacting your work-life balance. You’ll still see a rewarding and varied caseload, without the demands of overnight work.
Based in the Drogheda hospital, you’ll have access to excellent facilities including digital radiography, ultrasound, a fully equipped in-house lab, modern surgical theatres, and dedicated hospital wards.
This is a busy, established hospital, so your caseload will be varied, interesting, and genuinely rewarding - ideal for someone looking to build depth and confidence in emergency medicine.
All Pets is recognised not just for its clinical standards, but for its people. You’ll be joining a friendly, experienced, and highly collaborative team where vets support each other, share knowledge, and take pride in delivering excellent patient care. Despite being part of a new OOH service, you’ll never feel like you’re working in isolation – the infrastructure and support of a large hospital team is behind you at every step.
This role would suit a confident small animal vet who is comfortable managing emergency cases and working independently during twilight hours. You’ll need solid experience in general practice, with the ability to handle both medical and surgical presentations.
Previous ECC experience is an advantage, but not essential if you have a strong interest and are keen to further develop your skills in this area. This is a role best suited to someone already confident in their clinical abilities rather than those requiring close day-to-day mentorship.
As this is a part-time twilight role, benefits are applied on a pro-rata basis. You’ll still have access to a competitive salary, CPD support and funding, paid professional memberships, wellbeing resources, and additional perks, although these will reflect the reduced hours.
This is more than just an extra shift. It’s a chance to increase your earnings, build your ECC experience, and be part of launching a new service within a hospital that already has a strong reputation for excellence.
If you’re looking for something flexible, rewarding, and professionally engaging, we’d love to hear from you.
