Build Your GP Career in a Supportive, Close-Knit Practice
Avenue Veterinary Hospital is delighted to welcome applications from small animal Veterinary Surgeons who enjoy first-opinion practice and want to work in a friendly, well-run clinic where teamwork and patient care come first. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level clinician looking to grow confidence, develop skills, and enjoy a balanced working week without out-of-hours commitments.
You’ll be joining a motivated, approachable team who take pride in their work and genuinely support one another. If you’re looking for a practice where your contribution is valued and your development encouraged, Avenue Vets could be the right fit for you.
The Role
This is a full-time, permanent position working a 40 hour week across 5 days. There are no out-of-hours, Sundays, or Bank Holidays, allowing for consistent and predictable work-life balance.
The role is a true first-opinion GP position, involving consultations, routine soft tissue surgery, diagnostics, and medical case work-ups. You’ll be supported by an experienced team and have the time and resources to work cases up properly and build strong relationships with clients.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re keen to hear from VCI-registered Veterinary Surgeons with at least 12 months’ postgraduate experience in small animal practice. Confident new graduates with solid surgical foundations will also be considered. You’ll be someone who enjoys general practice, communicates well with clients, and works collaboratively within a team.
Most importantly, we’re looking for a kind, organised, and motivated vet who takes pride in delivering good medicine and being part of a supportive practice culture.
