We have a unique opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our experienced team. As a Veterinary Surgeon at Bridge Vets your day-to-day duties will be a mix of consultations and surgery, and you will receive fantastic support from an experienced team. We have certificate holders in medicine, one is working towards an ophthalmology certificate and we have a Vet with a keen  interest in Orthopaedics. We actively encourage our team to advance their abilities and careers and are willing to offer support if you want to work towards a certificate.

We are an ISFM Silver cat friendly clinic, RCVS PSS GP practice and a nurse training centre. Established for over 40 years with two branches in South Wales, we take pride in our loyal client base. We have the best of both worlds, with easy access to Cardiff, Bristol, Newport and the Countryside such as the Brecon Beacons National Park.

    How You’ll Make a Difference 


    As a Primary Care Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload. 

    You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

     
    We offer an excellent work-life balance for our team:
  • Flexible shift patterns that suits you and your lifestyle
  • Full-time position is 36 hours per week over 4 days
  • Shifts between 8:30am and 7pm, Monday to Friday
  • 1:7 Saturday mornings 8:30am – 12pm with no OOH
  • We would also welcome part time applicants, we can look at flexible hours or shorter days to suit your requirements

    You are a confident and motivated veterinary surgeon who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to delivering high-quality patient and client care. You’ll bring: 

    A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS 
    Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases 
    Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues 
    A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development 
    Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
