LVG’s Haddington team are looking for another member to join them in providing quality, personalised care to the pets of East Lothian.  Our team rotate between consults, surgery, inpatients and emergency cover.  Whilst no day is the same, our support, passion and team spirit is unwavering.

We have all the kit you would expect and have invested significantly in the last year, to increase our care giving abilities.  Multiple team members are working towards certificates, as we want our team to grow with the practice, and we benefit from the expertise of some incredible medicine, ortho and ophthalmology gurus.

Our 15 strong army of amazing nurses keeps us right, day and night, and our robust support system plus large friendly team, means that you will never feel alone working at LVG.

The full-time permanent role operates on a 5-day week with flexible shift patterns starting between 8am and 11:30am (8.5 hour days), however we are open to part time applicants. We are committed to providing 24-hour care to ensure our patients receive outstanding attention at any time, offering our staff valuable exposure to emergency and critical care. We highly value out-of-hours (OOH) contributions and generously compensate with ample time off. Currently, the rota includes 1 in 8 weekends, evenings, and night shifts, primarily based at our Haddington surgery with occasional branch cover across our 5 locations.

Admin breaks are sacred in our diary, and we all collaborate to get through busy days.  Our OOH care allows us to keep the exciting work in house and follow through for our patients, whilst also providing the opportunity to reward night work with generous days off for other life pursuits.

We know everyone has different priorities, whether it’s getting home to do family bedtime, or having days off to recharge and explore the beaches of East Lothian.  LVG are willing to work with candidates to ensure the most fulfilling role possible.

Full benefits below, however, perks include 6.8 weeks of annual leave, private health insurance, £1250 CPD allowance, cake every Friday and intermittent days covering branches in lovely coastal locations.
