An exciting opportunity has arisen at The Veterinary Centre in Glasgow, where we are looking to recruit an experienced and highly motivated Senior Veterinary Surgeon for our expanding team. We have a varied first opinion medical and surgical caseload.
Your duties would include supporting the clinical team and the successful running of their clinic alongside the Clinical Director, Senior Vets, Head Nurses, and Practice Managers. You will also be responsible for driving clinical standards and support and mentor colleagues to ensure we offer the best care to our patients, clients and colleagues. We actively encourage your development and growth offering full support for certificated study.

The full-time position will involve working 40 hours over 4/5 days per week alongside a share in 1 in 5 weekends. There is no out of hours or on call requirement. We also encourage candidates looking for part time / flexible working to apply.

Our friendly nursing team is eager to learn and grow, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing. You'll be part of a collaborative and dynamic team comprising 6 experienced Veterinary Surgeons, 7 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 3 Animal Care Assistants, along with a supportive Practice Manager, Administrator, and 3 Receptionists. Our diverse team has a wealth of expertise, including a certificate holder in Acupuncture, and our nursing staff is actively pursuing certifications in Physiotherapy and Senior Wellness.
Our clinic is equipped with advanced technology, including digital x-ray, ultrasound, a full in-house laboratory, a cautery machine, and a laser system designed to support chronic pain management. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional care in a bustling urban environment with easy access to the city.
