An exciting opportunity has become available for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team here at Bryn and Golborne Veterinary Centre.

 

We are in the fortunate position to be able to offer consult only or a consult & surgery role depending on your passion You will work alongside the team to make sure we are delivering on the company ethos whilst using our Care Frameworks to provide excellent care for our loyal clients and pets.

Practice Highlights

 
Bryn & Golborne Vets is a thriving two site first opinion practice located in the vibrant Market Town of Ashton-in-Makerfield, just 4 miles south of Wigan, as well as our Golborne site in Warrington, which is situated within easy reach of major cities like Manchester and Liverpool, as well as the picturesque Lake District.
 
Across both sites you’ll have access to dental suite, digital x-ray, ultrasound, blood pressure equipment, tonometer and much more!
 

How You’ll Make a Difference

 

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.

 

You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

As a member of our team, you'll work alongside our Practice Director, a Clinical Lead, three veterinary surgeons including a certificate holder, 2 full time one part time, 4 registered veterinary nurses, 1 SVN and five support staff, who collaborate between our two branches.

 

This is a full-time role, working 36 hours per week, 9 hours per day across 4 days. We are happy to explore the 4 days that best suit you and can discuss this at interview. Also one in four Saturdays 9am-12 noon. We are in a fortunate position to be able to offer a part time rota should that be more appealing.

  • A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
  • Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
  • A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development
  • Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
