You’ll enjoy a varied mix of consultations and surgery, with plenty of opportunity to work cases up thoroughly and develop the areas of clinical work that interest you most. Alongside the usual first-opinion caseload, you’ll have the chance to get involved with orthopaedics, laparoscopy, BOAS surgery, cardiology and a wide range of medical investigations.
We’d be particularly interested to hear from Vets with an interest in ophthalmology, although this certainly isn’t essential. And if you’re thinking about pursuing a certificate, we’ll support you in developing your skills and taking the next step in your career.
Our converted-house practice, with several extensions, is a welcoming and well-equipped space, giving you access to a great range of facilities and equipment. This includes ultrasound and cardiac ultrasound, digital and dental X-ray, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, rhinoscopy and surgical laser, as well as orthopaedic equipment including MMP and SOP kits.
Having so much capability in-house means we can investigate and treat many cases within the practice that might traditionally have required referral, giving you the opportunity to build your clinical skills while providing continuity of care for your patients.
You’ll be joining a friendly and experienced team of four other Veterinary Surgeons, eight Veterinary Nurses and a dedicated support team.
There’s a great breadth of experience within the team, including a Cardiology and Medicine certificate holder and Vets with extensive experience in laparoscopic surgery. Our nursing team brings plenty of expertise too, having been training student nurses for more than 26 years.
We’re also proud to be a Silver ISFM practice, reflecting our commitment to providing excellent feline-friendly care.
