12-Month Fixed-Term Contract

At inspiring vet care, our people are at the heart of everything we do. As the UK’s number one vet care provider, we're trusted with the care of over 2 million animals, delivering our purpose of healthier animals and happier owners.

Kingfisher Vets has been caring for pets in the local community for over 100 years, and we’re now looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team. With four sites across the area, this is a varied role where no two days are the same, and a driving licence is required for occasional travel between branches.

You’ll enjoy a good balance of consultations and surgery, with a caseload ranging from routine procedures to ECC work, keeping the role both interesting and rewarding. If you have a particular clinical interest, we’re happy to support you in developing it further.

Our main centre in Crewkerne is a modern, purpose-built practice equipped with video endoscopy, ECG and multiparameter monitoring, tonometry, digital dental radiography and a fully equipped in-house laboratory. We also work alongside a visiting specialist to offer access to advanced orthopaedic procedures.

You’ll be joining a collaborative team of eight Veterinary Surgeons, supported by a large RVN team and dedicated client care colleagues. There’s a wide range of experience across the team, plenty of day-to-day support, and encouragement to develop your skills further, including certificate support.
