Unlock your passions at White Cross Vets Coulby Newham

We are looking for an experienced Small Animal Vet, to join our fabulous, friendly team at White Cross Vets, Coulby Newham. We are located close to the North Yorkshire Moors with coast, countryside and city life nearby, and are easily accessible by transport links. The practice is Cat Friendly ISFM silver rated and we’re working towards our Dog Friendly clinic award. We have plenty of facilities on the doorstep, including a shopping centre, supermarkets, and local park for when you want to enjoy a break in the fresh air.

The team currently comprises of 4 Veterinary Surgeons, with both surgical and medicine backgrounds. Our Clinical Lead, Rob, has a GPCert in soft tissue surgery and a Diploma in Management and one of our Vet Surgeons is working towards her Cert AVP.  We currently have a team of 5 experienced RVN’s, one of whom has certificates in behaviour and ECC, and our HVN, Rachael, who is passionate about clinical standards and patient care. Our nurse team run a variety of clinics including weight management, behaviour, and senior clinics for our older patients. We then have a soon to be qualified SVN, VCA, and 3 Client Care Co-Ordinators looking after front of house.

We have a spacious practice with a large prep area, theatre, x-ray room, 4 consult rooms, and a recently upgraded kennel area with separate cattery and isolation wards. There is plenty of space for taking a well-earned break, including a ‘chill-out’ room. Equipment includes dental x-ray, ultrasound, multi-parameters, warming infusion pumps, bair huggers, syringe driver, and lab facilities include haematology, biochemistry, urinalysis, ACTH, T4, and microscopy.

Step into a supportive start

Working 20 hours, over 2 or 3 days with inclusion in the Saturday rota. There is however no requirement for Out of Hours. Share of Saturdays would be 1:5 with TOIL.  An interest in clinical coaching would be an advantage, and we can support both surgical and medicine preferences.

We are extremely lucky that we can offer flexible days with a choice of ops and consultations and are always happy to consider flexible working to support parents or those looking for a better balance generally!
