Are you a confident and caring veterinary surgeon looking to make a real impact within a close-knit community? At our well established practice in the heart of Virginia Water, we pride ourselves on the trusted relationships we’ve built with clients and their much-loved pets. From dogs, cats, and rabbits to small furries, we see a varied caseload that keeps every day interesting and rewarding.

A Practice Designed Around Quality Care

Our surgery may be compact, but it’s packed with everything you need to deliver excellent veterinary care. You’ll find a welcoming reception, one consult room, a fully equipped theatre, prep room, mixed kennels, dispensary, and office space which is all set to receive an exciting refresh before the end of the year. We’ve invested in modern equipment including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, capnography, blood pressure monitoring, ECG, ultrasound, in-house lab, microscope, and comprehensive surgical facilities.

A Role That Balances Consults and Surgery

You’ll enjoy a good balance between consulting and operating, with the chance to follow cases through and build strong client bonds. Surgical skills are particularly valued here, as routine procedures such as lap spays, castrates, and lump removals are a regular part of the role. We also have a strong reputation in the local area for our dental and ophthalmology work, and for those more complex cases, we have access to visiting specialists as well as close collaboration with nearby IVC practices.

A Supportive and Skilled Team

You won’t be alone, our small but dedicated team includes one vet, two fantastic RVNs, a Practice Manager, receptionist, and an ANA. Our nurses are highly engaged and take on a wide range of responsibilities, from blood sampling and pre- and post-op care, to health checks, second vaccinations, and nurse-led consults. We also benefit from visiting laparoscopic and dental surgeons, ensuring both variety and professional development opportunities.

Growing Your Career with Us

We believe in supporting every team member to grow their skills and confidence. If you’re looking to work towards a certificate or develop a special interest, particularly in surgery or exotics, we will actively encourage and fund your progression.

Making a Difference Beyond the Practice

Community is at the heart of what we do. We are proud to support local and national charities, including Street Vet, IVC Evidensia’s official charity partner, as well as Cats Protection. Our clients trust us not just as their vet, but as part of their extended pet family, and we’re looking for someone who shares that same ethos of care and compassion.
