We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Equine Veterinary Surgeon to join our enthusiastic, friendly and forward-thinking team in the Scottish Highlands. You will work across both ambulatory and clinic-based cases, managing a varied and rewarding caseload. We are looking for a vet who is confident in lameness work-ups, pre-purchase examinations, routine minor surgical procedures and castrations. The role also includes supporting and mentoring colleagues, so an interest in helping develop others within the team is important. The full time position includes working up to 40 hours per week and you will join a collaborative team on a shared 1 in 5 out-of-hours rota. You will be joining an established and supportive equine team committed to clinical excellence and continuous improvement. Our practice combines ambulatory services with excellent clinic facilities, allowing you to work up and manage a wide range of cases in-house. The practice is well equipped to support modern equine medicine and surgery, with inpatient stabling, stocks, a large treatment area with knockdown and recovery facilities, as well as dedicated trot-up and arena spaces. We have advanced diagnostic and treatment equipment including digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, gastroscopy, shockwave therapy and motorised dental equipment. We also host regular clinic days with visiting specialists, giving you further opportunities to expand your knowledge and clinical exposure within a collaborative environment.
