Orby Vets part of inspiring vet care is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and experienced team.
 
We are a well-established small animal practice located in the picturesque village of Orby, just outside Skegness. With the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds and the Lincolnshire coastline nearby, this role offers the opportunity to combine rewarding clinical work with a fantastic work–life balance in a scenic rural setting.

Your role will involve a mixture of consult days and surgery day’s where you will be able to create a bond with our loyal clients and patients plus provide the personal touch to follow a case through. We have a varied case load, with the ability to work up cases in house
 

About the Practice

 
We are a busy first-opinion small animal practice with a loyal and growing client base, seeing a varied caseload including dogs, cats, rabbits and other companion animals.
 
Our practice is RCVS Core Standards accredited and we actively support both the Vet GDP programme and RVN training, demonstrating our commitment to maintaining high clinical and professional standards.
 
The practice is well equipped to support high-quality patient care, including:
 
  • Dedicated surgical operating theatre
  •  
  • Separate preparation room
  •  
  • Recently upgraded ultrasound
  •  
  • Computed radiography
  •  
  • Multiparameter monitoring and blood pressure monitoring
  •  
  • Planned dental radiography
  •  
    We are committed to ongoing investment in equipment and welcome discussions around additional kit that would support the successful candidate’s clinical interests.
     

    Meet the Team

     
    We are a small but highly supportive and experienced team.
     
  • Our team currently includes:
  •  
  • One experienced part-time Veterinary Surgeon
  •  
  • Three Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs)
  •  
  • Two Student Veterinary Nurses (SVNs) who are soon to qualify
  •  
  • Three Client Care team members, one of whom also works as an Animal Care Assistant (ACA)
  •  
  • A dedicated Practice Manager
  •  
    Many of our colleagues have been part of the practice for a long time. Three of our RVNs and one member of the client care team have been with us for over 10 years, while other team members have been here for four to five years, creating a stable and supportive working environment with strong client relationships.

    The Role

     
    This role offers a great opportunity to enjoy a varied and rewarding caseload within a supportive team environment.
     
    Your responsibilities will include:
     
  • A mix of consultation and surgery days
  •  
  • Working closely with the Practice Director and wider team
  •  
  • Building strong relationships with our loyal clients
  •  
  • Working cases up in-house where appropriate
  •  
  • Providing continuity of care and following cases through
  •  
    Our varied caseload allows you to fully utilise your clinical skills while maintaining the personal touch of a community-focused practice.
