Join a Specialist Team in a Leading RCVS-Accredited Referral Hospital
Fyrnwy Equine Hospital is a well-established, RCVS-accredited equine referral practice dedicated to delivering the highest standards of clinical care across a wide geographical area including Shropshire, Cheshire, North Wales and beyond. We are now seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Equine Surgeon to complement and strengthen our surgical team at the Baschurch campus.
This role offers the chance to work alongside experienced specialists in both surgery and medicine, supported by a collaborative nursing and intern veterinary team, in an environment that values learning, growth and excellent patient care.

The Role
As our new Equine Surgeon, you will:
Lead comprehensive elective orthopaedic and soft tissue surgical caseloads.
Manage cases across both general and urgent surgical requirements, including colic, dystocia and synovial sepsis.
Deliver care for broodmares and youngstock as part of a thriving stud practice.
Have the opportunity for ambulatory lameness examination work.
Contribute to a notable advanced dentistry surgical caseload.
Participate in the shared out-of-hours rota.
This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours/week) with typical daytime hours Monday-Friday 08:00–18:00.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Is Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in equine surgery.
Has excellent surgical judgement, technical skills and a desire to practice across a varied referral caseload.
Thrives in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary clinical setting.
An interest in routine ambulatory lameness work is desirable but not essential.
