Are you a proactive and organised individual looking to take the reins of our dispensary at Vale Vets and Referrals? As a Dispensary Lead, you'll be the driving force behind our smoothly running dispensary, ensuring it aligns with VMD and RCVS regulations. You'll be in charge of stock control, managing drug and consumable orders, and training our staff in dispensing medication according to our practice protocols. But it's not all behind the scenes - you'll also have the opportunity to shine in front of our clients, delivering top-notch service with a quick, professional and efficient approach. And when things get hectic, your flexibility and teamwork will help support our reception team on the front desk and phones.
This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 08:30am-5pm. However, we are flexible to explore part time options with candidates along with job shares.
Vale Vets and Referrals is on the move! Our recent hospital expansion has given us brand-new facilities, including 5 state-of-the-art theatres, a medicine suite equipped for ultrasound and endoscopy, a dedicated dental room, an x-ray room, spacious ward areas (complete with a separate cat ward and treatment room), and even a separate exotics ward. As if that's not enough, we also have an on-site CT scanner.
Our family at Vale Vets and Referrals is a thriving community. With a team of 40 RVNs, SVNs and hospital assistants, you'll have the chance to work alongside experienced professionals. Many of our RVNs have advanced diplomas and certificates, and they're more than willing to offer support and learning opportunities to newer team members. We're big on development, actively encouraging and supporting our team members in their pursuit of advanced qualifications and other CPD courses. We foster a no-blame culture, where we value every voice and continuously seek ways to enhance our work.
Regular team meetings, critical event discussions, cash debriefs and biannual 1-2-1 meetings are part of our commitment to growth and excellence.
If you're a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, you're exactly who we're looking for. If you enjoy a diverse caseload where each day brings new challenges and opportunities, this role will be a fantastic fit.
Our preference would be for you to have an RVN qualification, however, applications from non-RVNs will also be accepted and considered. Prior experience in a similar lead dispensary role would be a plus.
While a relevant dispensary qualification is preferred, it's not essential - we're more interested in your potential and passion. If you don't have the SQP qualification, you'll have the chance to complete it or a similar one once you're on board.
Don't miss out on the opportunity to be a vital part of our exceptional team at Vale Vets and Referrals!
