Veterinary Surgeon (Full time or Part time)
St George’s Vets, Bushbury
Up to £75,000 depending on experience

Here at St George’s Vets, we are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Bushbury.

You will work across our Bushbury and hospital site.  This will enable you to undertake more detailed medical work and surgery alongside our team of Certificate Holders/Advanced Practitioners. This allows you to also book your own cases in for your hospital day to work up with support and greater access to equipment.

Our Bushbury site has 2 operating theatres, Idexx lab, Digital Microscope, Ultrasound, Laparoscopic kit, dental x-ray. We are also a training practice for Student Veterinary Nurses and our new graduate vets.  Our hospital is fully equipped with a CT scanner, digital X-ray, lab, endoscope, etc.

A typical working day within the branch consists of 15-minute consultations with qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse on hand at all times with up to 3 hrs of routine surgery a day – neutering, lump removals, dentals if desired. Hospital day would be undertaking a mix of surgery, diagnostics, medical work ups and assisting with patient in-care and emergencies if needed.

There are no out of hours with this role. The rota would generally be 9am to 7.00pm and would typically include working full time over 4 weekdays, with a 1 in 5 Saturday rota from 9am to 4pm if in branch or 8.30am to 4.30pm if in hospital.
