We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our enthusiastic and supportive team. You will have the opportunity to experience both consultations and surgeries at our London Road practice and consulting only at the Hollies, our branch surgery. Full time Veterinary Surgeons work a 4-day week, although part time applications will also be considered. There are no out of hours requirements.
We are a small animal practice, with one branch surgery which is consulting only. The practice has been established since the 1930’s and has evolved over the years with the changing pace of veterinary medicine to offer a modern service with a well-established reputation. We are located in a busy market town close to the beautiful North Norfolk coastline. Norwich is our closest city, an hour’s drive and London is 90 minutes away by train. We are a friendly, knowledgeable team of Veterinary Surgeons and RVN’s. We have a really good mix of experience in our veterinary team, which includes an advanced practitioner in emergency and critical care, certificate holders in internal medicine and cardiology. Our Vets work closely with each other, offering advice to their colleagues and working up cases together to achieve the best possible results for our patients. We see a varied caseload and our Veterinary Surgeons have clinical freedom and are well supported by proactive and experienced Nurses and Receptionists. We have a wide range of diagnostic and surgical equipment including state of the art dental suite, equipped with top of the range dentistry unit and dental radiography. Fully equipped in-house laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound unit and flexible endoscope. Range of surgical instruments and equipment, including bi-polar electrocautery and suction unit as well as an oscillometric blood pressure and multiparameter monitor. Ophthalmic equipment includes tonopen and slit lamp. Cat only ward, ISFM silver award, strong emphasis on patient care.
We are keen to recruit a veterinary surgeon to join our fantastic team of vets surgeons and RVNs. You will have the opportunity to experience both consultations and surgeries at our London Road practice and consulting only at the Hollies, our branch surgery. Professional development is important to us and we offer a generous CPD budget. You must be confident with consultations and able to do basic surgery unassisted.
As a Disability Confident Employer we are keen to hear from candidates with disabilities and long term health conditions, and would be happy to discuss any reasonable adjustments needed during the recruitment process.
