Here at Myerscough Veterinary Group we have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Vet Surgeon to join our amazing group! We are keen to consider all experience levels. If you are a more recent graduate, we have an amazing team who can offer you fantastic support, we are keen to work closely with you and tailor the support to your needs. For more experienced Vet Surgeons perhaps considering a certificate, with a certificate already or with a specific area of interest then we also have the perfect caseload for you to put your skills into action!
Myerscough Veterinary Group really is a great place to work. We now have 17 wonderful centres across Lancashire and have been established since the early 20th century. We are always focused on high clinical standards, great client care, and the provision of our RCVS accredited hospital that offers a fantastic 24 hours veterinary service. We have a really hardworking and dedicated team including 29 Vets, including 5 certificate holders, 14 RVNS’, 3 SVN’S and an amazing support team who can offer you all kinds of assistance, support & knowledge. As a team we all get along really well and we are excited about welcoming a new member to the team!
Our sites are well equipped with Digital x-ray, CT, endoscopy, ultrasound and in house lab machines. We continue to invest in our people, equipment and premises. We hold regular in-house CPD events as a great opportunity to meet up, discuss cases and eat pizza! We actively encourage people to undertake certificate studies and will give you all the support you need to pursue your interests. We have a busy but varied caseload and no two days are the same! We offer first opinion care and some specialist services in; Cardiology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Imaging & Internal medicine. We also work with some fantastic local charities.
We have wonderful, loyal clients, a large number of whom have been with us for many years. We pride ourselves on building excellent relationships with them by being friendly and helpful and offering excellent continuity of care.Lancashire is really a beautiful place and there are plenty of activities to get involved in locally in your spare time, especially if you enjoy the great outdoors! We are located within commuting distance to major cities, airports and even the beautiful seaside!
As a Vet Surgeon at My Vets you will be working between our 17 sites on a rotation basis. This gives you a fantastic mix and chance to get involved with routine, ECC and more specialist caseloads. We have on site CT, digital radiography, Idexx lab and endoscopy.
• Full or Part time applications considered
• Days; 5 days per week- full time
• Shifts; 09.30am-18.00pm
• There is some OOH with this role, either 1st or 2nd on call depending on experience with the rota split fairly.
• Weekends on a rota basis 1 in 12
• Night team consists of Vet, RVN, two ANAs on site and a dedicated senior vet on second call at all times.
