Referral nurses can be involved in a vast array of different areas, and can gain additional qualifications in their area of specialisation. Some specific nursing roles within referrals include: theatre/surgery, internal medicine, oncology, anaesthesia, ICU, opthalmology, exotics, care of inpatients, imaging, neurology and more.
