In the first of its kind, IVC Evidensia has hosted a virtual two-day event for its extensive referral teams, creating an opportunity for networking and open discussions within and across speciality areas.
Over 350 European specialists, referral clinicians and residents from 11 countries registered to access the virtual sessions and on-demand content, with the majority attending the live sessions between busy clinical schedules.
With over 170 referral sites across Europe, this innovative virtual event delivered a mix of both clinical and professional development. Participants, representing over 15 different specialist disciplines across all species, enjoyed content including complex multi-disciplinary case discussions alongside professional leadership topics such as quality improvement and mentoring all delivered by leaders in the veterinary field.
Giving attendees the opportunity to network with colleagues and peers, additional small group discipline-specific discussion rooms were hosted. Our Specialists and residents were able to meet and share experiences and insights with the aim of growing and strengthening our specialist training and career development opportunities.
Amanda Boag, IVC Evidensia’s Group Referrals Director said,
“Developing our people is core to delivering exceptional veterinary care. Sharing knowledge and experiences at this innovative Referral Summit supports our teams and strengthens our referrals community.
She went on to say,
“I was delighted that so many of our clinicians joined the summit and used the opportunity to network. The professional stream topics focused on quality improvement, clinical research, specialist education and mentoring with an excellent keynote from Peter Brindley on leadership.
