IVC Evidensia was highlighted as an Investor in Mental Health by AWARE Northern Ireland at an awards ceremony that took place at the Europa Hotel in Belfast.
The Derry-born charity AWARE has established a network of 23 support groups and delivers mental health and wellbeing programmes into communities, schools, colleges and universities.
We were incredibly proud to receive this award in recognition of our support for mental health awareness in veterinary practices, along with the reinforcement of a positive work culture. This was fostered through a series of training sessions delivered to NI practices including:
• The Brook
• Castle Vets
• Cedar Grove Vets
• Cedarmount Vets
• Coleraine Vets
• Clare Vet Group
• Craemill Vets
• Earlswood Vets
• Hollygate Vets
• Garden Lodge Vets

Roisin Fitzsimons, Area Director for IVC Evidensia practices in Northern Ireland, commented:
“We have had the absolute pleasure in receiving an award from AWARE Mental Health by delivering Mental Health First Aid training to our Northern Ireland Practices.
“Veterinary professionals are twice as likely to experience serious psychological distress and one in six considers suicide.
