We have an exciting and rare opportunity to join our leadership team at Clent Hills Vets. We’re looking for someone to work alongside the Clinical Directors in the management of the practice and the development of the business, promoting improvements and being an active member of the Management Team.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Length: 12-month fixed term contract (preferable start date around 1st July 2024)
This individual will manage, lead and develop the members of the non-clinical and rehabilitation team to ensure excellent teamwork delivering a continuous high standard of customer care.
Location/Region: Clent Hills Vets, primarily based at our Bromsgrove branch with weekly work/visits to all four branches (two based in Bromsgrove, one in Hagley & one in Rubery).
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Line managing the Customer Care and Fitness & Rehab teams.Full understanding of IT system and equipment.Managing the facilities and equipment, arranging repairs and minor alterations to practice premises.Ensure all insurance policies are current at all times.Responsible for managing the group debt protocols within the practice Identify and monitor turnover, expenditure and other performance trends.Prepare the monthly payroll, including holiday, overtime, company sick pay, SSP payments.Input into annual pay review and staff cost budget process.Undertake appraisals and performance management for all non-clinical and rehabilitation staff.With Operations team discuss, plan and promote practice promotional events such as: Pet Health Plan, career days, discounts, bundles etc.Co-ordinate all client complaints
The successful candidate will have:
At least 3 years of leadership and business experience.Ability to understand key financial KPIs and initiative to implement responses to performance. Understanding of P&L.Full driving license as this role requires regular travel between branches and external meetings.Strong people skills, ability to confidently communicate with staff, clients and external contractors. Ability to drive and motivate the team to deliver results.Excellent time management and ability to be flexible if the business need requires it.
