Since graduating from Glasgow in 1989 John worked in a large mixed practice in Wolverhampton as assistant, partner and Manging Director. By the time St George’s joined IVC in 2016. and John joined the support team, the clinic had developed into a large multi-site hospital based practice offering 24 hour care, ambulatory and equine services.
John’s passion is using data to drive strategic decisions and he has spoken at veterinary congresses and had articles published in this area. Within IVC John first developed the pricing and coding structure used by all practices on our PMS. The insights derived from this to help inform development at both a practice and group level.
From 2018 pricing has been a focus, with a desire to move the entire profession away from relying on drug sales and to start valuing our time properly.
