Overdale Veterinary Practice is a Friendly and supportive rural, mixed RCVS accredited practice located in the heart of Buxton and the surrounding areas, including the Hope Valley where we have a small branch. You may be required to work across both branches. Buxton is centrally located in the beautiful Peak District, making it a good base for exploring the area and we are surrounded by stunning natural wonders. We have great public transport links via train and bus. We are approximately a 45-minute drive from Manchester Airport.
We have a dedicated and supportive team of 5 full time Vets, 3 part time Vets and 7 Nurses as well as a great administration team. Within our team, we have Small Animal Medicine certificate holder and another certificate in progress. We have a great team atmosphere.
Practice facilities include ultrasound, digital x-ray, ECG blood pressure monitoring, endoscopy, in-house laboratory testing, acupuncture, physiotherapy and so much more.
Step into a supportive start
40 hours per week over either 4.5 or 5 day week. One early start (8am) and late finish (7pm) per week. One Saturday morning clinic every 5-6 weeks. No OOHs which allows a great work life balance.
You will be supported by our Lead Vet who will be your VetGDP advisor. However, our other members of staff are very experienced and are used to helping new graduates so there will always be support for you if and when needed.
You will have access to a company vehicle for work calls.
