We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our practice as a receptionist. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our East Dulwich branch which is going through an exciting period of growth.

The Neighbourhood Vet is a lovely 20-vet practice in SE London established over 12 years ago.   Our main hospital is situated in the heart of East Dulwich on popular Lordship Lane and our two branch clinics are located in Crofton Park and Penge where we are a strong part of the local community.

Although we are a large group with 72 fantastic people, we have a close-knit and caring team. We pride ourselves on being kind, and compassionate and doing the right thing for our staff, clients, and their pets, and we like laughing and try to make every day at work a good one.

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, both face-to-face and on the phone and knowledge of IT systems. We are a busy team so you will need to work well under pressure and remain calm in emergencies, and of course, have a love of animals.

We would prefer full-time hours (average of 40 per week) but may consider part-time hours. We are not open afterhours or bank holidays.  Full-time receptionists work 4 weekdays (9.25-hour shifts) PLUS 1:3 weekends.  One of these weekends is a long Saturday (9am - 7pm) and 3 weeks later, is a weekend which is Saturday  (8:30am-3:00pm) and Sunday (9am - 7pm), and you receive a day off after working a Sunday.
