Jessica's nursing career began after achieving an honours degree from Harper Adams University in Animal Management, Health and Welfare. This sparked an interest in the one health concept, particularly in how the care of wildlife casualties can be greatly improved through the use of companion and farm animal medicine. She developed this interest further whilst working full time in a wildlife hospital, alongside gaining her AMTRA medicines advisor qualification.
She then spent some time in general practice and referral before starting her SVN training in a first opinion hospital.
She hopes the nursing board will further ignite her passion for providing all patients with a high standard of care and assist in developing her skills in other clinical areas.
