Caroline Gardner

Clinical Board Vice Chair

Caroline qualified from Bristol in 1996 and entered mixed practice at The Oak Vet Group, where she has been ever since. She obtained her certificate in Small Animal Surgery in 2004 and became a partner in 2009, before being made Small Animal Clinical Director in the same year. She has been on the RCVS list of Advanced Practitioners since 2015, with a particular interest in soft tissue surgery.

From the many cruciate surgeries Caroline has had to perform over the years, she has further developed an interest in arthritis, mobility and physical rehabilitation and holds a Level 3 certificate in Small Animal Hydrotherapy, as well as carrying out acupuncture, stem cell and platelet-rich plasma therapy. As part of our arthritis and mobility care, Caroline introduced the first aquatic treadmill to Pembrokeshire in 2018. In addition, she gained a level 4 ILM Leadership and Management Qualification in 2019.

Out of work

Caroline enjoys anything outdoors, especially if it involves hills, walking the dogs, vegetable gardening, foraging and nature. She passes on a passion for the outdoors with local Girlguiding units, encouraging the younger generation to appreciate and preserve the natural environment.
